We're looking for someone who has a trade licence as a floor layer, has good craftsmanship skills and is passionate about the profession. You are familiar with different types of floor coverings and installation techniques, and have a high focus on accuracy. Typical materials you work with are laminate, parquet, tiles, carpet, vinyl and other floor coverings.

As a flooring installer, you must be able to co-operate with other construction professionals, read and understand building plans, and comply with HSE standards. Working independently as well as in a team is an important skill as we carry out jobs in both private homes and commercial buildings.

In your job as a craftsman at Morten Skancke AS, you will encounter varied work tasks that give you the opportunity to grow and develop. You will have an independent role, while being surrounded by skilled colleagues who support each other. 

Work tasks related to the position as a floor installer: 

• Plan and carry out assignments in accordance with given standards and regulations
• Contact with the client and other specialised groups
• Customer contact
• Reporting
• Perform all types of flooring in accordance with the area of expertise

We are looking for someone who:

• Has craftsman's certificate as a floor layer/building carpenter
• Has long-term experience from the industry that can compensate for formal education  
• Is accurate and committed to delivering quality
• Communicates well with all people
• Has good co-operation skills
• Is positive and friendly
• Fluent in Norwegian or English, both orally and in writing
• Has a class B driving licence
