How to save the world, one surface at a time

Håndverksgruppen has assessed the company's sustainability impact throughout the value chain, as well as evaluated the consequences of increased expectations regarding sustainability and other significant megatrends. Opportunities and risks within sustainability have then been ranked according to relevance. Based on this, we have identified three areas that are considered relevant to us but also crucial for our key stakeholders.

WE TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER AND ARE AN ATTRACTIVE WORKPLACE

We take responsibility for society, employees and suppliers.

We do this by setting standards, providing good training, and maintaining the right focus at all levels, so that the sustainability goals are achieved.

At HG, we aim to increase the number of young and adult individuals with relevant experience and education to contribute to the sustainability of HG School. Additionally, we will hire and support apprentices (4.4). Through apprenticeship programs, HG aims to reduce the number of youth unemployment (8.6), as well as ensure labor rights, safe workplaces, and prevent informal employment (8.8).

WE AIM TO ENSURE SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION PATTERNS

We aim to understand the climate impact of our operations.

Our goal is to become carbon neutral and promote a circular economy. However, we don't aim to only be sustainable in terms of environmental and climate impact. We also strive for sustainability in business ethics, towards our employees, and generally in the governance of Håndverksgruppen.

HG will promote sustainable procurement arrangements, in accordance with the policies and priorities of each country.

WE GOVERN OUR COMPANIES IN A RESPONSIBLE MANNER

Gray areas are not acceptable, and we ensure that all laws and regulations are followed.

Our employees are trained in ethical guidelines and we have clear procedures for whistleblowing. In addition, we impose the same strict requirements on our suppliers and partners as we do on ourselves.

At HG, we work to counteract undeclared work, ensure labour rights and safe workplaces through a focus on HSE, ethical guidelines and good whistleblowing procedures.
